Chocolat Bonnat was founded in 1884 by Félix Bonnat as a pastry and chocolate company in a small town not far from Lyon. Soon after he decides to specialize in transformation cocoa beans into quality chocolate and becomes particularly famous during the World Fair in Lyon in 1925. To celebrate the 100 years of the company, Bonnat (now owned by his son) decides to create 8 chocolate bars called “Grand Crus” based on pure and guaranteed single-origin beans. This chocolate is made from single-origin cocoa beans from Venezuela.
