Orange Blossom Cookies

This little cookie shaped like a small boat hails from beautiful French Riviera. Its delicate orange blossom flavor will transform a simple afternoon tea into a gourmet and chic moment. This treat called "navette" has a soft, yet crispy texture and is equally delicious dipped in tea or enjoyed on its own.

In Provence, navettes are particularly popular for the "Chandeleur". The Chandeleur is a holiday in February when almost everyone in France eats crêpes, but in the South, it is also a tradition to buy and enjoy 12 navettes. They are supposed to represent the months of the year and ensure good luck against fire & storm!

Crafted from quality ingredients, its delicate texture comes using one of the most famous butters from the Atlantic Coast, called "beurre de Barrate". This incredible butter has to follow traditional methods to be crafted. And just like French wine, this is under strict legal supervision -- this butter has a special PDO label to mean, Protected Denomination of Origin.

We selected these exquisite cookies from a family company who has been making delicious treats since 1883. "Biscuiterie de Provence" first started by creating sweets using local products, which can be found in abundance in Provence such as almonds, abricots and cherries. 6 generations later and still family-owned, the company has stuck to its values by continuing to craft authentic French treats in their Provence atelier.

Ingredients: wheat flour, sugar, PDO Charentes-Poitou churn butter, eggs, orange blossom water 5%, natural flavor, natural baking powder. Produced in a factory that handles almonds.

Size: 220g (7.8 oz)

Best cookies ever!

I love the taste of Fleur d'Oranger (orange blossom water) and these cookies do not disappoint. The cookies are light and buttery and absolutely delicious. I am so happy that I gave them a try and I will definitely be purchasing another box or two in the very near future.
