While Bonne Maman’s jams are widely available in the U.S., you won’t find this particular confiture de lait at your local grocery store. Caramel spread, or “milk jam” is similar to dulce de leche. It has a thick texture, which is similar to fruit jams, and isn’t overly sweet. This authentic French recipe is made without food coloring or preservatives.
We like to use it on toasts, a fresh croissant, or a slice of brioche. It is delicious either for breakfast or an afternoon treat. Some of our best customers even eat it right out of the jar with a spoon for a small afternoon treat. Give it a try… we won’t tell!

i expected this to be like nutella, but it's less nutty and more sweet and creamy. definitely a treat!
