These delicate crêpes dentelles remind us of traditional French crepes, and indeed this is how they were accidentally invented when, back in the 1880s, a lady overcooked her crepe and decided to enjoy it folded instead. The crêpe dentelle was born! They hail from the coastal region of Brittany where the love of fresh ingredients is at the heart of its ethos.
The crêpe dentelles are light, crispy, and have a smooth, but delicate taste of fresh butter. They pair well with strawberries and whipped cream, or are delicious by themselves, with a cup of tea or coffee for a chic afternoon pick-me-up. In France, they are sometimes served with ice-cream, to give add a little crunch to the dessert.
These treats are made without any trans fats, artificial colors or flavors, and preservatives and are non-GMO.
